There are several ways to view the browsing history in Safari. In this practical tip, we would like to explain which these are.
Show browser history via "Show Top Sites"
Safari has a built-in function that suggests other pages based on the websites you visit. This function is called "Top Sites". You can also view the history in the overview of these "Top Sites". To do this, proceed as follows:
- At the top left is the "Show Tob Sites" button (see screenshot). Click on this button.
- In the top middle, below the address bar, there are two buttons: "Top Sites" and "History". Click History to view your browsing history.
- You can scroll through the history and see a preview image of the pages you have visited. At the bottom left you will find a button to delete the history; There is a search box at the bottom right to search the history.
Show Safari history via "Show all bookmarks"
You will also find a button at the top left under the address line: "Show all bookmarks". Clicking this button will take you directly to the course. Here, too, you can scroll through the history or search through the history. You will also receive a chronological list of the pages visited by date and time.
Access history from the Settings drop-down menu
At the top right of the Safari browser is the Safari Settings drop-down menu and select "History" to view the history.
Call up history using a shortcut
In many browsers, the history can be called up with a shortcut - also in Safari: To do this, press the two keys "Ctrl + H".
