You should know that about the beech pollen
The flowering time of the plant to which they react is particularly interesting for pollen allergy sufferers. Flowering of the beech begins in March and does not end until the end of June.
- There is a particularly high number of beech pollen in the air between late April and May. However, the pollen count varies depending on the region.
- To know when there is a lot of pollen in your area, check the pollen map.
- A pure beech pollen allergy is rather rare. The allergic reaction occurs more frequently as a result of a cross reaction.
- A cross allergy means that you are not only reacting to the substances to which you actually developed an allergy. The body then also reacts to substances that resemble the actual allergy trigger.
- For beech pollen allergy sufferers, above all the birch, but also the alder and the hazel. So if you suffer from beech pollen allergy, you will probably also react to the pollen of these plants.
