Clear cache: what does cache mean anyway?
When surfing the Internet, browsers such as Google Chrome save websites and their content such as search entries, scripts or graphics in a buffer. This is the so-called cache.
- If the website is visited again later, it is no longer necessary to re-download all of the modules on a page and the browser can instead access the files already stored in the cache.
- This allows Chrome to speed up many processes.
- Nevertheless, it is advisable to clear the cache every now and then in order to free your computer from unnecessary data garbage.
