Call of Duty Ghosts: Which weapon for which map?
The shooter "Call of Duty: Ghosts" has many maps and even more weapons. But which rifle is best used on which map? In this tip, we have divided the weapon classes and explain where you use them most effectively.
Assault rifles as an all-rounder
Assault rifles are suitable for all purposes, but they are not as good as an SMG in close combat and not as good as a sniper rifle in long-range combat. If you don't know the cards yet or don't want to decide how to play, the best thing to do is grab an assault rifle.
Shotguns and SMGs for close combat
On cards with many narrow passages and hiding places, such as "Strikezone" or "Chasm", you are very well advised with a shotgun or a submachine gun:
- The high level of scatter and penetration over very short distances makes the shotgun very useful in tight spaces. However, it is hardly usable at a medium distance.
- Submachine guns, or SMGs (sub-machine guns), are light weapons that usually have a high rate of fire. With practice, you can still hit at range - in contrast to the short-throw shotgun.
Marksmanrifles and Sniper for the distance
Cards like "Octane" and "Stonehaven" have many open areas, which is why you are well equipped there with a sniper rifle:
- The Marksmanrifles class was introduced in "Call of Duty: Ghosts". They are semi-automatic and have a higher rate of fire, but do less damage than the classic snipers.
- Snipers are considered the premier class of weapon because you should hit the first shot due to the long reload time. However, this is usually fatal.
