Camtasia: Create slow motion - how it works
In this guide, we show you how to create a slow motion effect in Camtasia.
Create slow motion in Camtasia
- Open an existing project in Camtasia or create a new one and drag the video to be edited into the timeline.
- Split the clip via the "Edit" tab or with the [S] key so that there is a free space for the section that you want to give a slow-motion effect. Make sure that there is some free space after the cut, as the clip length is delayed by slow motion.
- Right-click on the section and select "Clip Speed".
- Enter a value between 50 and 99 in the input field to slow down the video and create a slow motion effect.
- Since the audio playback is distorted, you can optionally check the "Replace audio with silence" checkbox.
You can edit your videos not only on the PC, but also online. We will show you how to edit videos on the Internet in the next practical tip.
