Canon printer: paper jam - what to do?
A paper jam at the Canon printer is annoying, but luckily it can be easily cleared up. Find out here what you can do if the paper jams at your printer.

- For safety, you should turn off the printer first so that you do not injure yourself.
- Then remove all paper from the feeder before you begin the actual removal.
- Now look up into the feeder and try to remove the remains by hand if you can see them.
- Now take a look at the paper version. If you find any scraps of paper there, remove them too.
- Now you have to go further inside. Open the printer as if you were changing the cartridges.
- Look for any scraps of paper here and remove them slowly and carefully. Then close the printer again.
- Now switch on the printer and start a test print. To do this, put a few sheets of paper in the feeder.
- If a jam occurs again, check whether the paper is blocked by any objects and remove them.
- When loading the paper, make sure that it is straight and that it is enclosed in the holder.
- If the problems accumulate, there may be a technical defect. In this case you should contact customer service.
