If you take a lot of photos and the Canon camera is in the same spot, you can connect it to the PC. This practical tip shows you how this works with Canon brand cameras.
Connect Canon to PC: Instructions
- First you need the appropriate software to connect your camera to the computer. To do this, download and install the EOS Utility program.
- Now set up your camera and connect it to your computer using the USB cable provided.
- Now start the EOS Utility program. Now you can choose whether you want to copy existing photos from the camera or whether you want to take remote shots.
- To copy your images from the camera, click "Download Images to Computer". Then select the images you want to copy and specify the location where the photos should be saved.
- Remote shots are especially useful for photo shoots or if you want to take time-lapse photos. To do this, click on "Remote shooting". A window now opens in which you can make settings such as aperture, ISO and exposure time. Enter the location of the images on the PC below. Now you can trigger the K camera from your computer. However, please note that the photos are only saved on your computer and not on the camera.
Trigger Canon from PC
Remote shots are particularly suitable for photo shoots and if you want to take time-lapse photos:
- First click on "Remote Shooting".
- A window now opens in which you can make settings such as aperture, ISO and exposure time.
- Enter the location of the images on the PC below. Now you can trigger the camera from your computer.
- Please note, however, that the photos are only saved on your computer and not on the camera.
