CD gets stuck in Macbook - what now?
If a CD gets stuck in the drive of your MacBook, this can quickly cause panic. We'll show you how to get the CD out of the drive and get your MacBook up and running again.
CD is in the MacBook: ejected by mouse
- Turn off your MacBook completely, and then restart it. When restarting, press and hold the mouse or trackpad button.
- This sends the CD eject command to the MacBook. Keep the button pressed as long as possible, the process may take a little longer.

- If the CD is still stuck in the MacBook but appears on Mac OS X, there is another option.
- Drag the CD / DVD icon to the trash and wait a short moment. Then the drive should open.

- If the CD is still in the drive after all these measures, only one thing remains: go to the authorized Apple partner or directly to Apple. Do not tinker with the device's CD drive yourself to avoid damaging the drive.
