CD player does not play burned CD - what to do?
If your CD player does not play your self-burned CDs, the following tips can help:
CD player does not take burned CD: you can do that
- Older devices in particular do not play MP3 files. Alternatively, burn your music as an audio CD in WAV format.
- Make an audio CD, not a data CD, during the burning process.
- Check whether your burning program creates the CD with two folders. Usually CD players cannot access folders. If necessary, decide on a different burning program.
- Burn your CD with another burner. Your burner may be faulty.
- Try another brand of blank CDs. Choose darker CDs instead.
- Check whether your blank CD is rewritable. Some devices do not play RW CDs.
