Child of Light - the best tips
Accompany the "Child of Light" Aurora and your companions through the dream world Lemuria. You can read the best game tips for getting started in the artistic fantasy game in our practical tip. By the way, you can play Child of Light on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Child of Light Tip 1: Use Igniculus in combat
- In battles, you can steer Igniculus to an opponent with [R] and hold L2. This slows down charging the opponent. It is advisable to delay the strongest opponent with Igniculus ability time in a group of opponents.
- In emergency situations, using Igniculus to heal can be life-saving. Control Igniculus with [R] to the companion Igniculus is supposed to heal. Hold down the L2 button.
- When it is Aurora or one of your companions' turn to choose his action for the round, time stops. However, you can still control Igniculus. Use these moments to think about how you can best use Igniculus in the current situation. Igniculus can also collect wishes (from the "plants") to fill his bar and also the LP bars of his friends.
Child of Light Tip 2: Create and use Okuli
Create your own oculi to equip them. Mighty oculi can strengthen your character, provide special abilities and immensely improve status values. You will find the "Oculi" option in your menu. Dare to try different combinations of oculi and pay attention to the "preview" to keep an eye on your results and to make extraordinary oculi.
Child of Light Tip 3: Consider resistances and elements of the opponents
If you can’t hurt special enemies and the battle is getting more and more tedious, then you should watch what information is given to you during the attacks. Opponents can show resistance, so that, for example, magic attacks do little to them. Other enemies are particularly sensitive to certain magic, for example water enemies are sensitive to lightning attacks.
Child of Light Tip 4: Use skills like surprise and defense at the right moment
- Use abilities that interrupt (eg Rumbella's "surprise") against opponents whose timeline is already far to the right. With these physical abilities you not only hurt your opponents, in many cases you also throw back far back in the time bar.
- If you want to protect yourself from an opponent's strong skill, use the "Defend" ability in good time. The advantage here: "Defending" has a preparation time of zero - so it can be used again immediately. Even if the opponent is very close to executing his ability, you can defend yourself at the last second and not only armor yourself, but protect yourself from "interruption".
