Disable data compression in Google Chrome
Data compression reduces data consumption by up to 50 percent. Images and other elements are compressed using a Google server. The function is particularly useful for a mobile data connection. When surfing via WLAN, you should deactivate it to increase the image quality:
- Open the Google Chrome app on your smartphone.
- Tap the menu button on your smartphone.
- Select "Settings" in the menu.
- Go to "Bandwidth Management" and then "Reduce Data Usage".
- Toggle the switch at the top right so that it is gray and "Off".
