Chrome: Change "New Tab" page - Here's how
In our guide, we'll show you how to change the "New Tab" page in Chrome. With a new tab, a website you have specified is always called up first.
Change "New Tab" page in Chrome
Chrome unfortunately does not have its own setting for changing the "New Tab" page. Therefore, you have to resort to a free extension.
- Download the Chrome Add-on New Tab Redirect from the Chrome Web Store and install the extension.
- Now click on "Set Options".
- Under "Redirect URL" enter the address of the website you want to be opened when opening a new tab. Make sure that the URL begins with "//".
- Save with a click on "Save".
In Chrome, you can also add a quick access button to your homepage. We explain how this works in this guide.
