Chrome: Group tabs
The easiest way to group individual tabs in Google Chrome is to use an add-on. We show you how to install and use the grouping extension.
Group tabs in Google Chrome
The tabs in Google Chrome cannot be easily grouped. With a small workaround it works: Press the [Ctrl] + [N] keys at the same time to open a new window. This way you can arrange and group your tabs in several windows. However, it works much more conveniently as follows:
- Open OneTab in the Chrome Store, click the "Add" button at the top right and confirm the process.
- Then a new icon appears next to the menu button in Chrome. If you click on it, the OneTab extension starts.
- All previously opened tabs are now listed in a window. Here you can open, close or arrange the individual tabs again.
- If you open additional tabs and click the OneTab icon in the top right again, a new category will be opened in OneTab. Repeat the process for all desired tab groups.
- Conclusion: With OneTab you can easily manage all open websites in one tab. If you start Google Chrome, the add-on always starts in a separate tab.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to delete add-ons in Google Chrome.
