Chrome: Show certificate - how it works
If you want to display the SSL certificate of a website, this is only possible in Chrome via detours. We show you step by step how to do it.
Show certificate in Google Chrome
In the top left corner of Chrome you will usually see a green lock and the word "secure" next to the URL. If you click on the lock, you will find some information here, but the certificate has disappeared.
- Go to the desired website and press the [F12] key on your keyboard. You will find these in the top row.
- Now the developer options open. Go to the "Security" category in the top right. This may be hidden behind the arrow symbol.
- You now have access to the SSL certificate of the website via the "View Certificate" button.
- Tip: If you reload the website once, all other certificates that appear on the website are displayed.
