Chromecast: audio and video are asynchronous - what to do?
If your Chromecast's audio and video tracks play asynchronously, there can be many reasons. We'll tell you what you can do about it.
Asynchronous audio and video on the Chromecast
With the following tips, enjoy movies and videos again with synchronous audio and video track:
- Turn off Chromecast and check that the video isn't already running asynchronously in your browser or on your smartphone.
- If you have a technically weak device, you should close resource-hungry applications and adjust the streaming quality.
- Also make sure that the WiFi connection is working properly.
- Restart the movie or video. Have the file buffered beforehand, i.e. preloaded. So the video should work properly again.
If all of this doesn't help, you can use other Chromecast apps and improve your set-top box.
