With Google Chromecast, video or other content can also be streamed from local devices via DLNA. We explain what you need and how to do this in the following.
Google Chromecast streaming via DLNA - how it works
The BubbleUPnP Android app enables streaming via Chromecast via DLNA.
- Start the "BubbleUPnP" app and select the "Devices" registration card.
- Select "Chromecast" as the output device (renderer). Activate "Local Media Server" as source (libraries).
- Then activate the "Libraries" registration card. Here you will find all available content. The playback of media content works exactly as you are used to from any MP3 player.
- "BubbleUPnP" not only accesses all media files on the Android device. It also shows media stored in the cloud, for example on Dropbox.
