Chromium: Install plugins and addons - how it works
You can also install or use plugins and addons in Chromium, the open source version of Google Chrome. We have summarized everything you need to know in this guide for you.
Install addons in Chromium - Here's how
Chromium supports all the extensions available for Google Chrome, so you can easily install them from the Chrome Web Store.
- To do this, open the Chrome Web Store in Chromium, search for the desired extension and install it using the Add button. Confirm the security question with "Add extension".
Manage plugins in Chromium
You may not install any new plugins in Chromium, but you can configure the ones already included in the factory to suit your preferences:
- In Chromium, click on the mini button in the top right and select the "Settings".
- Select "Show advanced settings" at the bottom.
- In the data protection area, click on "Content settings ...". You now have the option of generally allowing or blocking the execution of Flash, for example.
