Buy CI + module: You should note that
If you buy a CI + module for your television, you can enjoy channels in HD. In this practical tip, we will tell you what you should consider when buying.
Buy CI + module - that's what matters
When buying a CI + module, you should pay attention to the following points so that you can take full advantage of the variety of channels:
- The module should be compatible with your TV and the CI + card. This can be found out from the description of the respective devices.
- Devices from Sony, Loewe, Metz, Grundig, Bang & Olufsen and Panasonic, which came onto the market after January 1, 2014, have such an interface for CI + modules.
- If your TV does not have a slot, you need a reader for the module, which you then connect to the TV.
- To enjoy the channels in HD, you need an HD + card. You can get these from different providers.
- With this card and the module you can watch almost all channels in HD quality. You do not need an HD + card for the public channels in HD.
- Often you will get a module with the right card from your cable provider. In this module you can only insert the HD + card that is included.
