Cities: Skylines for Nintendo Switch
Cities: Skylines for Nintendo Switch is the portable version of the popular PC and console game of the same name.
- In Cities: Skylines, the player creates their own cities according to real traffic and economic systems. It is not simply a question of building huge cities quickly, but of strategically designing and maintaining them.
- Cities: Skylines was initially available as a PC, PlayStation4 or XBox game. In September 2018, developer Tantalus released a portable version for the Nintendo Switch.
- The game's pixel resolution is 720p. Due to the portable version, the resolution suffers somewhat compared to its predecessor.
- At the start of the game, the frame rate is still 30 FPS. However, this number drops as the city grows. In a large metropolis, the frame rate settles at between 10 and 20 FPS.
- The reason for this, according to developer Tantalus, is the conversion of the PC game to the portable Nintendo console.
- Nevertheless, the game is very popular and was sold more than six million times by March 2019.
