Clash of Clans Builder: Instructions - how it works
With the Clash of Clans-Builder you can create several templates of your home village and your war base. In this guide, we explain in detailed steps how to use the layout editor and how to use the builder to switch between your village templates.
Clash of Clans: Instructions - Create Village Templates with the Builder
With the builder or layout editor, you can create up to three different templates for your home village and your war base, between which you can then switch. The advantage of the layout editor is that the templates you have created can be saved and edited again at another time. Save projects that have not been completed by selecting "End later".
- First run the "Clash of Clans" app on your Android phone or iPhone and tap with your finger under the display of your number of jewels on the button that shows a hand and two arrows.
- You are now in the builder and can use the upper tab to decide whether you want to adapt or copy a template of the home village or its war base.
- As soon as you have selected a layout, you can edit it with the green button "Adjust layout". Once you have done this, you will reach the village bwz. into the war base edit mode, where you drag and drop individual village elements.
- In the lower bar you can see all village elements that you have not yet placed on the map. With the two buttons on the right "Delete all" and "Delete from" you can either delete all or selected village elements, while with the left two buttons "End later" and "Cancel" you either save or discard a village that has not yet been completed.
- The button "End later" changes to "Save" as soon as you have placed all village elements. This is important because you can only activate fully completed villages or war bases later and switch between them. Templates that you cannot activate will later be marked with a red house symbol and should therefore be completed at a different time.
- Once you have created a template and clicked "Save", you will return to the menu of the layout editor. You can still copy the layout of a village or a war base and transfer it to another template by tapping the "Copy layout" button below.
- Once you have done this, select a desired template under "Home Village" or "War Base" to transfer the village you have selected to the new template.
Switch between village templates in Clash of Clans
As soon as you have at least two completed templates under "Home Village" or "War Base", switch under your village templates by activating the desired template.
- Go to the main menu of the layout editor again and choose the village to be activated between "Home Village" or "War Base".
- The currently active village is shown with the caption "Active Village" above the template. Now select the "Activate" button under the templates to switch between the villages.
- Once you have done that, the caption "Active Village" is now displayed above the template you last selected.
- Note that you can only activate completed templates. Unfinished templates are marked with a red house symbol as described above and should therefore be closed beforehand.
