The blue screen "Clock_watchdog_timeout" usually indicates problems with the hardware and especially the CPU. In individual cases, faulty drivers and software conflicts can also be responsible for the error, so that there is no uniform solution and different approaches have to be tried out.
- As a test, remove all antivirus programs and check whether the error has disappeared afterwards. Among other things, Avast Antivirus and and Bitdefender's tools can cause the blue screen in individual cases.
- Also temporarily uninstall other programs that you installed around the time the error first appeared.
- If possible, revert Windows to a previous system restore point where the error had not yet occurred.
- Update your motherboard's BIOS.
- Make sure that all Windows updates are installed and that you are using the latest drivers for your hardware.
