Simply change the preferred color profiles in the settings.
Use GIMP to assign a new color profile to the picture.
The free image editing tool Gimp is enough to convert your image. However, you need additional plug-ins.
- First download the Seperate + plugin. You can find the download at the bottom of the page.
- Unzip the ZIP file and insert the files "icc_colorspace.exe", "separate.exe" and "separate_import.exe" under "C: \ Program Files \ GIMP 2 \ lib \ gimp \ 2.0 \ plug-ins \",
- You also need the ICC color profiles, which you can download from the official Adobe website.
- Move the contents of this zip file into the folder "C: / Windows / System32 / spool / drivers / color".
- Now you can start GIMP. Go to "Settings" via "Edit" and click on "Color management". Under "RGB profile" select the file "Adobe RGB (1998)" from the path where you saved the color profile.
- Now open an image in GIMP. Then click on "Image", "Color Management" and then on "Assign Color Profile" and under "Assign" select the entry "Adobe RGB (1998)".
- Now press "Assign" to convert the image into the RGB color space.
- Save your picture after the process via "File" and then "Export".
