Remove CoinVault - Here's how

If you have "CoinVault" on the PC, you will be blackmailed with your own data. In this guide, we reveal how to remove the tool and whether it is a virus.
CoinVault - is it a virus?
- CoinVault is so-called ransomware. The software is usually installed unnoticed when other programs are installed.
- As soon as CoinVault gets on your computer, a certain part of your personal data is encrypted. Access will only be released after a payment.
- No matter what you do, encryption cannot be resolved with simple methods. However, there is now a specialized tool that frees your data. Completely free of charge.
Virus threat: Uninstall CoinVault
- In the CoinVault software you will find the so-called "Bitcoin wallet address" at the bottom right. Save this in a desired file.
- At the top left you will find the "View encrypted filelist" button. Here you will find all encrypted files. Save this content in a text document or a Word file.
- Now download the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and install the software. Run a scan and then use it to remove CoinVault.
- Then open this Kaspersky website and enter the previously noted Bitcoin wallet address.
- If Kaspersky finds something, you will see a "key" and an "IV". You will need these two dates later.
- Note: If you do not receive a key or IV, check the data again in the next few days. If the developers have changed the encryption, it may take a few days for Kaspersky to crack it too.
CoinVault: Decrypt encrypted files again
- You can also find the decryption tool on the Kaspersky website. Download and start it.
- If an error message appears, install the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Click on the "Select File" button at the top right of the decryption tool and select the previously saved file list.
- Then enter the key and the IV and click on the "Start" button.
- Depending on the size of the data, the tool takes a few minutes to decrypt your data.
