Comdirect Video Ident - how it works
In order to open an account with Bank Comdirect, you must have your identity verified. You can do this either at a post office, at a notary or conveniently from home with the Comdirect Video Ident.
Comdirect Video Ident: that's what you need
Before you can start with the Comdirect Video Ident, you have to submit an opening application for your account to the bank. Once this is done, the identity is determined.
- You will need your ID card or passport. This will verify your identity.
- The procedure is possible on a computer / laptop, on a cell phone or on a tablet.
- You need a stable internet connection, a webcam / front camera and a microphone on the computer.
- With Comdirect you can reach an employee at any time. This means that you can also have your identity check carried out at the weekend or at night.
This is how the identification process works
You can start the process by calling up the corresponding page on the Comdirect homepage. If you want to use a cell phone, download the Comdirect video support app.
- Have your ID ready to get started.
- Make sure that the room in which you carry out the identity check is sufficiently illuminated. Legitimation often does not work in poor lighting conditions.
- It will take a few seconds, then you will be connected to an employee.
- The Comdirect representative will greet you and ask you to hold your ID in the camera.
- You will be asked to flip the card and partially cover it so that the employee can also see hidden holograms on the card. You will also be asked to read out the ID number.
- Finally, a TAN will be sent to you, which you enter and send back to Comdirect.
- The process is complete after approximately five minutes.
