The Comic Sans MS font came to our PCs with Windows 95, and it was also found on the Mac shortly afterwards. From then on, the typeface began a triumphal march that many did not like. You can find out what this means here:
- Comic Sans is a fuzzy and childish font that often doesn't make a serious impression. Therefore, you should definitely avoid using the font on a more serious letter.
- You should also refrain from using Comic Sans on your website. On the one hand, the content on your website looks less serious, on the other hand, there are a lot of people on the Internet who detest this font. There are a lot of sites on the internet that advocate the abolition of Comic Sans.
- Google also experimented with the controversial font. For example, AdWords ads were served in Comic Sans for a short time. While these ads got more attention, they also received far more bad feedback.
- For longer texts in particular, you should use fonts that are easy to read. For most readers, Comic Sans is literally a "screaming" font and is therefore not pleasant to read.
