The file is the central configuration file for Joomla and is required for the CMS to work.
- For example, you specify MySQL access in the file so that Joomla can create and save tables.
- In this file you also define whether the website is offline and, if so, which message should be displayed to the users.
- You can also specify the name for the page and specify the path under which the respective folders are located on your server.
- So that the sending of e-mails works, you also define the sender and his name in configuration.php.
