Find out the CPU - how it works
If you don't know which CPU is installed in your computer, you can easily find out: Under Windows you can find the most important information in the Task Manager and in the Control Panel.
Show processor in Windows 8
- Open the Task Manager by pressing the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] and selecting "Task Manager".
- Go to "Performance" in the top menu bar.
- Here you can see a live diagram of the load on your CPU and other important data below it. The exact name of the processor is shown above.
Find CPU in Windows 7
If you use Windows 7 on your computer, you can find out your CPU very easily via the control panel.
- Open the control panel via the start menu.
- Click "All Controls" and then click "System".
- Here you can see the name and clock frequency of your CPU.
