Crossy Road: unlock secret characters - Here's how
If you want to unlock all characters in Crossy Road, you need not only the official, but also the secret characters. But these are well hidden in the game. We'll show you how to activate the crazy game characters anyway.
Crossy Road: Unlock all secret characters
A total of six secret characters can be unlocked in the standard version of Crossy Road. You have to do this differently:
- Hipster Whale: The Hipster Whale is the logo of the developers and is displayed every time the app is started. The whale happens to swim in the water, so you shouldn't wait for it. Meet the whale, just jump on the animal and let yourself be carried away. You can then play it yourself.
- Gifty: You can get the Gifty character on holidays. This is a two-legged gift. At Christmas, you had to run the festive chicken against a Christmas tree and then collect all the gifts to get Gifty. There will be other requirements for the next public holidays - be creative!
- Cai Shen: Play a round with the lucky chicken, keep walking past red envelopes. If you have collected around 25 of the envelopes, you will receive the character Cai Shen as a reward.
- Developers: The developers themselves have immortalized themselves in Crossy Road. To unlock the three developers, all you have to do is beat your highscore with the Emperor, the Lucky Cat and the Mallard.
Australia Update: Unlock Secret Characters in Crossy Road
With the Australia update, the developers added two more hidden characters to Crossy Road:
- Drop Bear: If you choose the character Koala Bear, Dingo, Wombat or Kangaroo, the game world changes into a desert. After a short time you should find a dark bear on a tree. Go to the drop bear and wait for it to jump down on you.
- Crab: Choose one of the above characters again so that you are in the desert. If you have reached between 50 and 100 points, you must always move left and right. If you die, you will receive the crab as a reward.
Great Britain update: unlock secret characters in Crossy Road
The UK update has included characters such as the lady, the gentleman and the bagpiper. You have to play with these people to unlock the following secret characters.
- Nessy: You will find the sea monster Nessy as difficult as the hipster whale. Just let chance decide when you meet Nessy by the river. Once you've sighted the animal, all you have to do is jump up.
- Kobold: If you play with a figure from the UK update, you will always find shamrocks on the floor. Collect one of the rare four-leaf clovers and you will receive the Kobold Leprechaun in the next game.
- Telephone cell: This really very unusual character is difficult to find. Play with one of the characters above and hope for luck. If you switch on the sound, you can hear the ringing of the telephone cell from a distance. Then just step up to the telephone cell and wait until it stops.
