CS: GO: Set crosshair - there are these options
If you want to shoot more precisely in CS: GO, you should set your own crosshair. We'll show you how it's done.
Configure CS: GO crosshairs yourself
On the website Tools.Dathost.net you can configure your own crosshairs and insert them into CS: GO.
- Style: Choose between different types of crosshairs. These are either classic, modern or dynamic.
- Alpha: With the alpha value you can set the transparency. A less useful invisible crosshair is also possible.
- Thickness: The thicker you make the crosshairs, the more confusing it becomes. However, a little thickness cannot hurt.
- Size: With this setting you lengthen or shorten the four lines of the crosshair.
- Gap: With the Gap function, the individual lines are pulled apart or compressed. That makes the cross even more precise.
- Color: from classic green to daring pink. All colors are possible here.
- Preset: Here you will also find some types of crosshairs. The classic crosshair on CS 1.6 and the simple dot are particularly interesting here.
- Config: Here you can see the code for your own crosshair. Copy the code and read on in the next paragraph.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: Use your own crosshair in the game
- Press the [Windows] and [E] keys simultaneously so that the Explorer opens.
- Open the following path here: "C: \ Program Files (x86) Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ Counter-Strike Global Offense \ csgo \ cfg". This path may vary.
- Right-click on the "config" file and select the "Editor" under "Open with". It is better to copy the file beforehand and save it under a different path. If something goes wrong, you can restore your original crosshairs.
- Now find the area where the lines begin with "cl_crosshair". Delete all these lines and paste your code from the website.
- Save and close the file and repeat the process in the "autoexec" file.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to activate the console in CS: GO.
