Import CSV file in Outlook 2010 - how it works
With CSV files, for example, you can save contact information very easily. This practical tip shows how you can import them into Microsoft Outlook 2010.
Import of CSV files in Outlook
- Open Outlook and go to the orange "File" field in the top left.
- Select the item "Open" in the left line and then click on the "Import" field.
- In the window mark the top item "Import from other files or programs" and click on "Next" (see picture).
- Now select "Comma separated values (Windows)" and confirm again with "Next".
- Now click on "Browse" and select the desired CSV file from your file directory. Then decide what to do with possible duplicates.
- In the next point you decide in which Outlook folder the data of the CSV file should be imported. If it is, for example, contact data, simply mark the "Contacts" item here.
- Confirm again with "Next" and "Finish". Then the CSV file is imported into Outlook.
