The Culling: The best tips and tricks
In The Culling everything boils down to the final fight, which decides the outcome of the game. The best tips and tricks for survival can be found in this practical tip.
Crafting tips and getting started in The Culling
- Every round of "The Culling" starts with the search for raw materials to craft.
- Sticks and stones are always on the sidewalk. First look out here. If you don't find anything there, hit the rocks and trees with your fist [left mouse button] to obtain raw materials.
- An item is always made directly from two items. You don't have to go through an inventory. If you hold a stone in your hand and then press [F] while aiming at another stone, make a knife.
- Then combine the knife with another stone, make a cleaver.
- If you forget a crafting recipe, press [ESC] at any time to see an overview of all recipes.
- Learn the recipes by heart as quickly as possible, because looking up takes a lot of time, especially in the first few minutes of the game.
- Crafting also requires FUNC energy. You can always find the current energy level in the top value at the bottom left. To get FUNC, combine collected items with recycle machines to exchange the item for energy.
The Culling: Tips for the fight
- Use a melee weapon primarily. A valuable ranged weapon is quickly knocked out of your hand in combat.
- When you find an alarm gun, you should use it to shoot the airdrops.
- If an enemy is standing near a gas container, you should shoot the container. It then explodes and causes a lot of damage. This works particularly well in the co-op: one player lures him to the gas tank, the other shoots at the tank.
- If an enemy has a ranged weapon and has an advantage, throw a weapon at him. Then he drops the gun.
- You should never turn your back on your opponent because the back is the weak point. If an opponent turns their back on you, immediately throw a weapon on their back. He loses some HP and above all he slows down significantly.
- Also use the block action to fend off opposing blows. So the opponent loses stamina.
- If an enemy is just trying to block, push [Q] to penetrate their cover.
General survival tips for The Culling
- You should be in full health before each fight. So heal yourself with bandages or at one of the health stations.
- If your stamina drops below 50, they run slower and do less damage. So you should never reach this value. So don't run around if you don't see an enemy.
- Stop every now and then to listen for steps. So you know early on when an opponent is approaching and you have a decisive advantage.
- When you go into a building, close the door behind you. You will hear when an opponent opens them.
- Buildings are often used as a base by other players. So look closely at where you are going: players often use traps like barbed wire here. You can usually disarm the traps and then use them yourself.
- If you die, use observation mode and watch the remaining players. You will learn the best tips and tricks from this.
