Custom ROM for Chromecast - is there?
With Chromecast, Google introduces its first HDMI streaming stick. Due to the small range of functions, custom ROMs are interesting. However, there is currently only one alternative operating system for the Chromecast.
Custom ROM for Chromecast: Eureka-ROM
With Eureka-ROM - formerly known as PwnedCast - the first and currently only custom ROM is available for the Chromecast. The alternative operating system is constantly being expanded and equipped with new functions.
- Changes: In addition to the visual changes, Eureka also has its own update engine and root rights.
- Installation: On the xdadevelopers website there is detailed installation instructions and the associated downloads.
