Use D-Link as a WiFi repeater: How to convert it
- The D-Link router must first be connected as usual and send a WLAN signal. Then connect to the WLAN and call "192.168.0.1" on the computer.
- Select the "Admin" option under "User name" and leave the "Password" blank. Click on "Register". (If you have previously registered and specified your own user data, enter them).
- In the next step, select "German" from the list at the top right. Then click "Cancel" in the wizard.
- Now select "Setup" above and click on "Wireless Settings"> "Set up wireless connection manually" on the left.
- Under "Wireless mode" you can then select "Repeater" from the list. Then click on "Location overview" to see the WLAN networks nearby.
- Then select the WLAN to the right to which the D-Link should connect. Then enter the network key of the respective router in the "Pre-Shared Key" field.
- With a click on "Save settings" the repeater is now ready for use.
