Dark Souls 2: The character classes at a glance
In this practical tip we give you an overview of the many different character classes in Dark Souls 2 - from the strong warrior to the nimble bandits to the poor beggar.
Character class 1: The warrior in Dark Souls 2
The warrior has the highest strength value and also high mobility. This makes it suitable for players who like to deal with melee weapons and want to be able to defend themselves from the start. He quickly benefits from weapons that have corresponding damage multipliers on both values.
- Starting Equipment: Standard Helmet, Fixed Leather Armor, Fixed Leather Gauntlets, Fixed Leather Boots, Iron Parma Shield, Broken Straight Sword
- Starting level: 12
Character class 2: The knight
The knight starts with less strength and agility than the warrior, but has the most life energy of all starting classes. So it endures a little longer, which makes it interesting for more careful players. He also wears better armor than the warrior.
- Starting equipment: falconer armor, falconer gloves, falconer boots, broadsword
- Starting level: 13
Character class 3: The swordsman
Swordsmen are suitable for aggressive players. They start with the highest mobility of all and specialize in ambidextrous sword fighting (meaning a blade in each hand).
- Starting equipment: Wanderer hood, Wanderer coat, Wanderer cuffs, Wanderer boots, Scimitar +1, short sword +1
- Starting level: 12
Character class 4: The bandit
The bandit starts with a high but slightly lower agility value than the swordsman. Since it carries a bow (including arrows) from the start, it is predestined for long-range combat.
- Starting equipment: bandit spiked helmet, bandit armor, bandit gauntlets, bandit boots, short bow, hand ax, 25 wooden arrows
- Starting level: 11
Character class 5: the cleric
Its high will value makes it the first choice for miracle workers. However, since there are no offensive spells available at the beginning, thanks to its medium strength, it can also defend itself with melee weapons.
- Starting Gear: Archdrake Robe, Helig Cleric Bell, Mace, Healing (Miracle)
- Starting level: 14
Character class 6: The wizard
The wizard has the highest intelligence, so it is the best choice for using magic. With his soul arrow, he deals well early and keeps opponents at a distance.
- Starting gear: black mage robe, imported trousers, dagger, wizard staff, soul arrow (magic)
- Starting level: 11
Character class 7: The explorer
Although the vagabond cannot convince with its starting values, its well-filled inventory makes it quite interesting:
- Starting equipment: hiking dealer hat, coat, gloves, boots, dagger, magic quartz ring, 20 life stones, 8 magic urns, 4 aroma silt, 5 primsa stones, 2 rusty coins, repair powder, 1 Pharros truth seal.
- Starting level: 10
Character class 8: The beggar
If you want to level individually and quickly, choose the beggar who starts with 6 on every attribute. However, starting the game is more difficult because the beggar has no items with him and is difficult to defend himself.
- Starting equipment: nothing
- Start level: 1
If you want to level up your character quickly, it is of course annoying if you lose all your souls every time you die. We show you how you can prevent this.
