Dark Souls 2: No more losing souls - Here's how
Here we show you how to escape death in Dark Souls 2 lightly and no longer lose souls when you die.
How to stop losing souls in Dark Souls 2
- There are two different ways you can break the cycle of life, death, and loss of soul in Dark Souls 2, but in both cases you need a specific ring to equip. The rings do not make you immortal, but in both cases prevent the loss of souls and humanity. Unfortunately, however, the rings break, so that they have to be repaired (at the blacksmith in Majula) in order to be able to use them again.
- Life assurance ring: You will find this ring in the area of the no man's yard. Search the huts on the left side of the stairs leading up from the lower starting area. There is a body behind some shelves (which you have to smash) that carries the ring. The repair of this ring costs 3000 souls.
- Ring of soul security: This ring is sold by a somewhat unusual dealer for 8000 souls, namely the head of Vengarl. You can find it in the shadow forest where you walk along the rock wall on the left as you enter the area. At some point you can follow a small path up to the left. At the end of it, Vengarl's head lies on a pile of rubble. In addition, the ring makes it immune to petrification. The repair of the ring costs 6000 souls.
