Dark Souls Remastered is a much improved version of the dark action RPG. In this article we show you which differences the game actually brings.
Graphics differences in Dark Souls Remastered
A lot has changed in the graphics of Dark Souls in the remastered version.
- As long as the screen takes part, the PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X deliver a 4K resolution with 60 FPS. However, the 4K resolution is upscaled on the console, and native on the PC.
- On normal PS4 and Xbox One, you can play Dark Souls Remastered in 1080p at 60 FPS.
- The Nintendo Switch delivers 1080p at 30 FPS in TV mode and 720p at 30 FPS in handheld mode.
Dark Souls Remastered: Differences in multiplayer
The interaction with other gamers has changed in contrast to the original game.
- You can now go online with up to six players instead of just four in multiplayer. For this you need the item "Dried finger".
- In addition to the new mode 3 against 3, there is now a 6-player death match.
- Password matchmaking increases fairness in the game. The level of the players is automatically adjusted to each other, similar to Dark Souls 3.
- Healing items almost completely disappear from online mode, phantoms are only half of the items available.
- If a phantom is struck down, its own Estus bottle is refilled. Allied phantoms can no longer be applied to enemy phantoms.
- Recorded items are no longer automatically assigned to a slot and the key assignment can finally be adjusted manually.
