Darkest Dungeon 2: All information
Red Hook Studios have announced Darkest Dungeon 2. It should be a direct successor to the popular and dark RPG strategy mix Darkest Dungeon. We have compiled all current information for you.
About Darkest Dungeon 2
Dark and gandeless are the two most common keywords that are mentioned in the same breath as Darkest Dungeon. And that is exactly why it is so popular with many gamers. The first part was followed by three DLCs. The wild indie mix now gets an officially announced successor.
- The official teaser features six character classes you already know from Part 1: Hellion, Leper, Highwayman, Plague Doctor, Man-at-Arms, and Grave Robber. What other and how many character classes there will be in the finished game is not yet known.
- The turn-based combat system remains in the core, but significantly upgraded. And that should not only affect the mechanics but also the presentation.
- The village that served as the base in Darkest Dungeon is no longer the only place to go in part two. This should also change the management system.
- Furthermore, "horror" should also be a central component in the successor. However, in terms of the meta-game structure, such as decisions influencing gameplay, the developers promise a completely different experience than in the first part of the RPG.
- Only five people developed the first part at that time. A team of fourteen is currently working for Darkest Dungeon 2 at Red Hook, which is to be increased to twenty people.
- If you, as a player in Darkest Dungeon, have freed an estate and its surroundings from all kinds of creatures, this time you should embark on a long and arduous journey.
- The systems for which Darkest Dungeon 2 is being developed have not yet been disclosed. However, the developers held out the prospect of an early access version.
- The developers have not yet announced a release date.
