If you get the error "iPhone is already logically connected to another iTunes library", you don't need to be afraid of your data. We will show you the solution.
iPhone logically connected - you have to do that
If you add the iPhone in this version of iTunes, data may be deleted. To prevent this, you have to switch off the automatic synchronization:
- For your security, we recommend that you make a backup with the free iTunes alternative "Copy Trans Alternative" before starting. The program is easy to use thanks to the clear presentation.
- Connect your iPhone to the PC and then open iTunes.
- Select your iPhone in iTunes and switch to the "Overview" tab.
- Under "Options", check the "Manually manage music and videos" checkbox.
- Then apply the settings by clicking on "Apply".
- You can now sync manually.
Add content to iPhone manually - how it works
Once you've completed the steps above, you can only add content manually:
- Select your device and click on "On this device". With the "Add to" button (top right corner) you can add media files to your iPhone.
- However, before you manually sync songs to your iPhone, you need to import them into your iTunes library.
- However, you can also drag media files onto the iPod, iPhone, or iPad icon in iTunes. So you don't have to import the files into iTunes.
