Open file automatically at startup - how it works
This practical tip shows you how to open any file automatically when the system starts.
Add file to Windows startup
So that files open automatically when the system is started, they must be integrated in the autostart:
- Click on the "Start button" or the "Windows icon" at the bottom left.
- Now click on "All Programs".
- Once in the program overview, look for the "Autostart" folder. Right-click on it and then click "Open".
- You are now in the Startup folder. All shortcuts located here are automatically executed when Windows starts. To add a shortcut, right-click on the desired file and select "Create Shortcut".
- Now drag this link into the Autostart folder. To do this, right-click on the file and then click on "Cut". In the autostart folder, insert this file with a right click and "Paste".
- To delete the autostart of a file, remove the link from the autostart folder.
