Google Drive is a good alternative to Dropbox and Co. - easily share files with colleagues and friends in the cloud. But in concrete terms - how does that work in Google's cloud storage? We show you how it works.
The "Share" button is hidden here
- The option to share files on Google Drive is called "Share". This is hidden in the submenu: Right-clicking on the file you want to share takes you to the "Share" option.
- It is easier if you select one (or more) files using the box to the right of the name.
- A context menu now appears above the file listing, in which a button symbolizes that users can be added here (see screenshot)
How to edit recipients of the cloud file and their rights
- The window opens in which you can enter the recipient's email address. You can specify several users and at the same time set here whether they can edit the document or only read it, for example.
- You can also copy the link to the file to the clipboard and share it with other users in emails or chats. In order to be able to access the full functions of Google Drive, however, all recipients also broke a Googlemail account.
