Hide files under Ubuntu - so it'll work
In this practical tip, we explain how to hide files on Ubuntu. With a shortcut you can show the invisible files again later:

- Right-click the file you want to hide.
- In the opened menu, select the "Rename" entry.
- Now place a dot in front of the name of the file and save the change with [Enter].
- Now the folder is still selected. Now press the [Ctrl] + [H] keys simultaneously.
- The file is now hidden. Repeat the first three steps with all the data you want to hide. You can show your files again with the same key combination.
