Database with free CD covers - you can find them here
The Internet offers many databases with CD covers. We introduce you to the best free providers. This saves you the hassle of scanning for the copied albums in the car and the music collection on the MP3 player.
First choice for CD covers: eCover.to
One of the largest online databases for CD covers is eCover.to. Here you will find most of the audio CD covers and even some vinyl and cassette covers. The search is quick and easy:
- Enter the music artist or album title in the search mask.
- If there are too many or confusing hits, select the category "Audio CD".
- If you are satisfied, you can add eCover.to to the list of search engines in Firefox and Internet Explorer by clicking on "Plugin".
Discogs database for rare CDs
Real scene people will find rare album covers in the Discogs online database for musicians and labels. Even the smallest of records are listed here. The database contains complete profiles and discographies of artists, so the search is a bit tedious:
- Enter artist and title in the search mask.
- If there are too many hits, the additional input of the record label and the country helps.
A software solution with which you can find CD covers is, for example, the "Album Cover Finder". The freeware is available for free on CHIP and is looking for album covers on Amazon. Due to the resolution of 300x300 pixels, these covers are more suitable for the mp3 player than for printing. If you want to be creative yourself, you can also download the freeware "CdCoverCreator" on CHIP and design your own album cover.
