You can use the following tips to ensure that no data is transferred via the mobile data connection:
- Switch off the mobile data and the LTE while you are at home in the WLAN. To do this, swipe down from the top of Android to open the notification area and tap on "Data" and "LTE" until they are colored gray.
- On iOS you can find these options in the "Settings" under "Mobile network". Here you can deactivate the entries "Mobile data" and "Activate LTE".
- Especially when the WiFi signal is weak, it can happen that your smartphone automatically switches to mobile data. Therefore, you should temporarily deactivate it.
- Also close all apps that are running in the background. On Android, press and hold the menu button and tap the broom icon at the bottom to exit the apps.
- With iOS, you have to tap the home button twice and end all apps by hand by pulling it up.
- Under "Settings"> "Wireless & networks"> "Data consumption" you can view the detailed data consumption of all apps.
- By default, only the apps that use mobile data are listed. If the consumption seems too high, you should uninstall the app concerned:
