Overview of De-Mail providers
De-Mail is becoming an increasingly important communication channel. In this practical tip we give you an overview of the De-Mail providers.
De-Mail from Telekom
One provider is Telekom. Telekom is accredited to the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
- You can send De-Mails free of charge until January 31, 2015. After that you have three De-Mails per month included and each additional one costs 39 cents. The mailbox memory is 500 MB.
De-Mail from 1 & 1, web.de and GMX
1 & 1 is also accredited by the BSI. The providers web.de and GMX use the technology from 1 & 1.
- 1 & 1's offer is aimed more at companies, the self-employed or associations. Because the fee is 9.99 euros per month. You can send 100 De-Mails and have 10 GB of mailbox storage.
- The prices at web.de and GMX do not differ. You have 1 GB of mailbox storage and can send unlimited standard De-Mails. As soon as you send a De-Mail by registered mail, it costs 78 cents.
Which De-Mail provider is right for me?
You should take advantage of the 1 & 1 offer if you want to send a lot of De-Mails. Then the basic fee is worth it and you can archive the De-Mails well, because you have a whopping 10 GB of mailbox storage.
- The offers from web.de and GMX are interesting because you can send standard De-Mails free of charge. The cost of registered mail is much cheaper compared to Deutsche Post.
- You should go to Telekom if you only want to use De-Mail sporadically. After the campaign period has expired, you can only send three De-Mails free of charge. To do this, Telekom will be happy to lure you with an Amazon or Zalando voucher every now and then if you become a customer of them.
