Dead by Daylight: the best tips for beginners
Face the horror: In this article, we present the best tips for beginners of Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight: The best tips for survivors
Especially the first rounds as a survivor in Dead by Daylight are anything but easy. However, if you stick to the following tips, you shouldn't get killed right at the start of a round.
- At the beginning of each round, you should crouch first to seek cover. Once you've done this, you can watch the area and look for the killer. If your opponent is not in sight, you can move slowly and look for the first generator.
- Once you have been discovered, you should act prudently and not necessarily sprint in any direction. If you run fast, the killer can track you. So if your opponent has discovered you but is not sure where you are, you can hide behind objects. This mostly confuses the killer much more, because he has a limited field of vision due to his first-person perspective.
- If you are chased by the killer and there is no way out but fleeing forward, check as many as possible. If you come across a leaned pallet, you can also wait until the killer is with you and trigger it at the right moment. You will then throw the pallet at your opponent and stun them for a short time.
- It is always important to help others. The more players there are, the more difficult it is for the killer to oversee everything. So if a teammate from your group is already in the grip of the killer, you should wait for a suitable time if possible and then rescue your cronies.

The best tips for the killer
Even as a killer, the first rounds in Dead by Daylight can be tricky. However, if you take the following tips to heart before the game starts, the survivors will not fool you so quickly.
- Survivors make noise! Prick your ears every round, because as soon as a survivor fails a skill test or starts a crow, there is noise. If you follow this, you are already on the right track.
- If you have followed a hot trail but cannot find any survivors, you should take a closer look at the nearby hiding places. Often the survivor saw no other way but to hide in a closet. The good thing about it: If you find a survivor in such a place, you can put him on your shoulder without having to follow him first.
- If you have hung one of the survivors on a hook, do not wait until it is dead. The time you inspect your victim will be used by the other survivors to repair other generators. It is a good idea to comb the area for more players, always keeping an eye on your victim. In most cases, the survivors try to save other players.
- If a generator has been repaired, look for survivors nearby. Most of the time, as a survivor after the repair, you don't have much time to find a suitable hiding place. Also, look directly in the direction of the next generator, since the survivors are likely to head in that direction.
