Dead by Daylight: tips and tricks for survivors
In this article, we show you the best tips and tricks for survivors in Dead by Daylight. The difficult horror survival game can demand a lot from you as a survivor. With the tips and tricks from this article, you can make the killer job pretty difficult.
Tips for survivors - How to stay away from the hook
- Better choose characters with dark clothes. So you can't be seen so well by the killer. For example, Meg Thomas is wearing a light-colored dress. This is not exactly helpful to hide in the dark.
- With a tool case, you should rather hang the hooks instead of repairing the generators immediately. This makes it easier to free your teammates.
- If you still hang on the hook, do not try to free yourself on your own. It almost never works and you lose a lot of HP when you try. Rather wait for a team mate to help you with that.
- It's best to stay in groups of two. So you can heal each other and repair generators faster.
- Avoid running! Because this is how the killer sees your traces. It is usually not worth taking this risk, even if you are there faster.
- Also try to avoid open spaces. It is much better if you move across the map while protecting objects and buildings.
Tips for survivors - How to get the generators working again
The goal of the game is to repair all the generators as a survivor. In practice, however, this is much more difficult than it sounds in theory. If you follow the tips below, the killer has almost no chance of stopping you.
- If you are traveling in pairs, you can repair the generators much faster. This is very helpful because the killer often cannot react quickly enough.
- Before you repair a generator, it is important that you plan your escape plan. Decide in advance where you will run after the repair to avoid mistakes while fleeing. Again, try to stay in the shadow of objects or buildings.
- If you only repair up to 95% of all the generators except the last one, you can get it done very quickly. Since the killer sees when the last generator is screwed on, this is especially helpful if you are the last survivor!
