Debian: Use ipconfig - Here's how
You need the "ipconfig" command to configure the Internet under Linux. You can find out how the code works under Debian in this practical tip.
Use Ipconfig under Debian - all information
On Windows, you can use the ipconfig command to check the Internet connection and repair it if necessary. This command is also available with Debian, but it is called "ifconfig" here.
- If you have entered the command "ifconfig" in the terminal in Debian, you get an overview of all network connections of the server.
- Enter "ifconfig -a" to get an overview of the configuration data for the configured interfaces.
- This also enables you to check whether your Linux Debian has a network interface.
- Each network adapter has a name. Enter "ifconfig" and then enter the name (e.g. "ifconfig eth0"), you will receive specific information about this adapter.
- Tip: To get all possible commands with "ifconfig", you can enter "ifconfig --help".
