If you have ordered something from an online shop such as Amazon and see DEPOST or the DPSTD as a shipping service provider, there is often no shipment tracking for your package. We'll tell you why.
DEPOST / DPSTD: shipment tracking not possible
DPSTD is the somewhat cumbersome abbreviation for " D eutsche P ost St andar d ". DEPOST or DPSTD items are direct mail items from Deutsche Post.
- Unlike parcels, these are thrown directly into your mailbox.
- In this way, for example, smaller items such as books or CDs or DVDs are delivered.
- It is not possible to track the shipment.
- Next day delivery is not guaranteed, even if you order as a Prime customer from Amazon. It can sometimes take a few working days for the shipment to reach you.
- If the shipment has not arrived after several days, contact the seller or contact Amazon.
- Alternatively, you can use the consignment number of the DEPOST or DPSTD consignments that Amazon informs you of when placing an order to inquire directly at the post office about the whereabouts of the consignment.
- If necessary, you can use it to place a research order if you do not receive the goods sent as a letter.
