Access to this folder has been denied - you can do that
This error message occurs if your current user is not the owner of the folder that you are trying to access. This can be for a number of reasons, but the problem is fairly easy to fix:
- Right-click the folder you want to access and choose Properties.
- Click on the "Security" tab and then on "Advanced". Now a window opens in which you can make the security settings for this folder.
- Click on "Change" under "Owner" and enter your user as the owner. Click on "Apply" and confirm everything with "OK". Now close the window.
- Now click again with the right mouse button on the affected folder, then press "Properties" again and go to the "Security" tab. Press "Edit", select your user and deactivate all checkmarks for "Permissions" that were set for "Deny". Press »Apply« and confirm everything with "OK".
