To get the best chance of getting a faction token in Destiny 2, you should focus on the lost sectors. You can get the tokens here by destroying the resources in them:

• To do this, first go to the gorge in the ETZ. Destroy all resources here and ignore the opponents.
• After changing territories, you can go back and destroy resources again.
• You will receive three tokens for this. Repeat this action until you have collected enough tokens. There is no limit.
• Alternatively, you can go to church. There you will also find some resources to destroy.
• Additional tip: Even if you complete normal, public events, you will receive 4 tokens as a reward.
